I spent a relaxing five days in Norms studio and then moved into the ranch house for my last day of my stay. The setting of the ranch is so peaceful: boarding on the Anza trail; walking distance to the historic town of Tubac; and the lovely pool and patio. The ranch house is stunning with all of its historic pieces throughout and lovely areas to sit and relax watching the birds, providing everything a guest could wish for. The hosts were also very helpful and informative on the area. I couldn’t give a higher recommendation.

The main house of the Ranch includes three separate deluxe suites that can accommodate up to nine people. Enjoy a piece of history by staying in an authentic 1938 adobe home. This includes the “Great Room” lounge with pool table and dining room for 8, Mexican-tiled kitchen, bricked Galleria with great reference library and game room. Showcasing the Tubac artist, Hal Empie. This suite is set with three single beds, two of which are converted to one king bed (they can be separated upon request) and ensuite master bathroom with tub/shower and multiple closets.
Steiger Room
The fabric of Tubac silkscreen artist, Harwood Steiger, is highlighted in this queen bedroom with additional single bed. An adjoining “pass-through” tub/shower bathroom that can be locked for privacy completes this suite.
Cabot Room
The Cabot Room reflects the western art of celebrated Tubac resident Hugh Cabot. This queen bedroom with additional single bed and an ensuite bathroom with full-size walk-in shower.
Amenities Offered
Each suite has a private entrance from a central hall. All guests within the house have complete use of the game room, galleria, double kitchen, dining room and great room. Internet is available in all areas of the house, including the pool area.
Pool Area
All guests staying at the Historic Valle Verde Ranch have access to the 20x40‘ pool, 7-person hot tub and surrounding patios that include lounge chairs, umbrellaed tables and poolside games and floats. There are many patios with tables to allow social distancing while mingling with guests.
